How-to Remove the RegisterFly.com ProtectFly!

Since the Crash of RegisterFly.com, many accounts have found it impossible to remove the RegisterFly.com ProtectFly WhoIs information in order to transfer there domain names out of RegisterFly and onto another registrar. That is until now! But enough of the chit-chat .. lets get started ..

OVERVIEW: Setup a second RegFly account, transfer your names, Ta-Da! No more ProtectFly!

1. Set-up a 2nd RegisterFly account. (if you already have two you can skip this step).

2. Log into your main account that has the ProtectFly domain names.

3. Unlock the domain names. (note: If you cant unlock your domains, your out of luck for this how-to).

4. From the menu on the right, select CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP > Internal Push to Other User.

5. On the next page, click continue.

6. On the next page enter the user name of your 2nd RegisterFly account and click continue.

7. on the next page you will verify your new account name, and click continue.

8. On the next page select the domain names that have ProtectFly, and at the very bottom check the checkbox labeled 'Change the Whois/Contact info on the names being pushed'. Click continue.

9. Log out of that account, and log into your 2nd account.

10. Your domains will now have ProtectFly removed! Go ahead and change your contact info!

As easy as it sounds, this took me hours (if not days) to figure out.
